VCF Beach Access

The Venice Canals Foundation ( VCF ), a 501c3, obtained grants from the California Coastal Conservancy (State Coastal Commission), City of Los Angeles, Venice Canals Association, and donations from Neighbors to create a Coastal Access Path that goes from the Venice Canals to Venice Beach (and Vice Versa). The path winds through the public park like Lombard Street in San Francisco. The Path is located at 25th Place between Grand Canal and Pacific Blvd. The open space is maintained with California Natives and Succulents. The VCF maintains the path and gardens through generous donations from the community. The VCF is run by board members made up from the local community. The board meets one time a year.

A Library Book Exchange recently set up on the Venice Beach – Venice Canals Access Path. Please bring children or older adults books, exchange or donate!

About this box, ordered by VCF President Mark Galanty, the box was made by an English / Yukrane Company, and painted by a British artist. It was shipped to Los Angeles in November of 2019; but, due to holidays, wet winter, and then the COVID 19 Virus, it wasn’t installed until 6/10/2020. Installed by Mark Galanty and Carl Hajduk. This is on an old plant map that was removed, and the plaque installed by Nadine Parkos was moved to the side of the book library.

Book exchange has some new books. Organized by children, adult, garden, travel, business, etc. Please fill with your old books or EXCHANGE for one in the library.
